Cedar Creek Ride-a-thon Sunday, October 7 2007 DOWNLOAD the 2007 Ride-a-Thon FORM

What: The Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center Ride-a-thon is a 10-mile horseback ride or a 2-mile walk to raise funds to provide therapy on horseback to equestrians with disabilities.

Where: The Ride-a-thon is held in Rockbridge Memorial State Park in the Gans Creek Wilderness Area.  Ride begins at the Shooting Star Trailhead on Boone Femme Church Road, just off Hwy 163 E.  It is just DOWN THE ROAD from Cedar Creek.  Parking and Registration at an 8-Acre pasture, provided by Connie Graham, just across from the trailhead. MAP TO THE TRAILHEAD.

How to participate: First collect sponsors. Ask donors to sponsor a 10-mile trail ride or a 2-mile walk. Be sure to put sponsor's full name, address, city, zip and donated amount on thedonation forms - one for your records, one for Cedar Creek.

Next, present a minimum of $30 in sponsorships at the entrance on the day of the ride-a-thon. This entitles you to ride or walk, to earn a gate prize, have lunch on us, get a T-shirt, and enter the drawing for special prizes.

Plan to begin your ride or walk in the forest between 9AM and 2PM. Check-in will be at the entrance. If you are a rider, this means BEFORE unloading horses. Please have your Coggins available upon request at registration. Be sure your sponsorship paperwork is in order.

The fine print: We encourage you to bring your donations with you on the day of the ride. All remaining pledges are due by October 15, 2007. YOU are responsible for collecting pledges - and be sure to thank all of your sponsors. Please make ALL checks payable to Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center. All sponsors who donate $25 or more will receive a written thank-you from CCTRC upon request.
